Uses

Measles Mumps Rubella V Vaccine is used for the simultaneous vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella in individuals 12 months of age or older

Warnings

Do not give this drug to people with the following conditions:

Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine
Pregnancy
Allergy to neomycin
Any febrile respiratory illness or other active febrile infection
Active untreated tuberculosis
Patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy
Blood dyscrasias
Leukemia
Lymphomas of any type
Other malignant neoplasms affecting the bone marrow or lymphatic systems
Primary and acquired immunodeficiency states such as AIDS
Cellular immune deficiencies

Side Effects

Hives
Difficulty breathing
Swelling
Problems with hearing or vision
Extreme drowsiness
Fainting
Easy bruising or bleeding
Unusual weakness
Seizure
Fever (within a few hours or a few days after the vaccine)

A lump where the shot was given
Headache
Dizziness
Joint or muscle pain
Nausea

Precautions

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

Hypersensitivity to eggs
Thrombocytopenia
Children and young adults who are known to be infected with human immunodeficiency viruses and are not immunosuppressed
Pregnancy
Lactation
