MECLOZINE

Meclozine is a drug that is known to be an anti-vertigo and an anti-emetic medicine. It blocks the vasodepressor response to histamine and slightly blocks acetylcholine to decrease signals in the middle ear.

Meclozine is used in the treatment of motion sickness, vertigo and vestibular disorders

  • Meclozine is contraindicated in those with hypersensitivity to it.

Meclozine may have the following side effects:

  • Headache
  • Drowsiness
  • Vomiting
  • Dry mouth
  • Fatigue
  • Rarely, blurred vision

Take extra caution in patients with the following medines:

  • Narrow-angle glaucoma
  • Asthma
  • Prostatic hyperplasia and/or urinary stricture
  • Pyloric or duodenal obstruction
  • Renal or hepatic impairment
  • Children
  • Pregnancy
  • Lactation
