Isoconazole + Diflucortolone

Isoconazole nitrate, an imidazole antifungal, is used to treat superficial skin fungal infections, effectively against dermatophytes and yeasts, yeast-like fungi and molds.

Diflucortolone valerate, a corticosteroid, is used to suppress inflammation in inflammatory and allergic skin conditions. It also alleviates itching, burning and pain. These drugs are used in combination for the treatment of inflammatory or eczematous skin fungal infections.

 

Use this medication precisely as recommended by your physician. Follow the prescription of your doctor carefully.

The medication dose given by your physician is based on your health conditions, other medications or food supplements taken, and your reaction to the treatment. To diminish risks for adverse effects, do not increase your dosage, thus take it regularly, or take it as instructed by your physician. Adverse events may still happen even at usual prescription dosages.

If your physician requests you to use this drug consistently, take it regularly to get the most benefits from it. To make you remember it better, take it at a fixed time every day.

Do not use Isoconazole nitrate and Diflucortolone valerate in people with the following conditions:

 

  • Tuberculous and syphilitic infections (in the area to be treated)
  • Viral infections
  • Pregnancy

Isoconazole nitrate and Diflucortolone valerate may have the following side effects:

 

  • Burning
  • Itching

 

Keep in mind that your physician has recommended this drug since he or she has known that the advantage to you is more significant than the risk of adverse reactions. Many individuals utilizing this medicine don’t have serious side effects.

  • Excessive use on damaged skin may lead to substantial systemic absorption resulting in depression of the hypothalamic-pituitaryadrenal axis especially in children
  • Caution when used near the eye
  • Not recommended for use in infants and children

Interactions

There are no known interactions for Isoconazole nitrate and Diflucortolone valerate.
