DAPAGLIFLOZIN

Although some people who have taken Dapagliflozin have developed bladder cancer, not enough is known Dapagliflozin is the cause. There is also isn’t known if it might affect people with existing bladder cancer. Until more is known, don’t take Dapagliflozin if you have bladder cancer.

Common side effects of this drug include increased risk of genital infections, urinary tract infection, and increased urination.

Precautions

Some medical conditions may interact with dapagliflozin. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions before taking this medication, especially:

• if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
• if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
• if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
• if you have kidney problems, low or high blood pressure, or high cholesterol
• if you have a history of bladder cancer or yeast infections of the penis or vagina, or if you are a man who has not been circumcised
• if you are dehydrated or have low blood volume, or if you are on a low salt (sodium) diet

Your blood sugar levels may drop too low if you take too much.
