Bivalirudin

Carbomer is a drug that is known as a polymer compound of acrylic acid. It is cross-linked with polyalkenyl ethers of sugars as well as polyalcohols. It is utilized as a suspending substance in the treatment of dry eyes. Also, it is utilized as suspending agent, in the formation of gel base, or in the creation of emulsifiers as a binding agent.

Carbomer is used in the manufacturing of cosmetics and beauty products as a stabilizer, an emulsifier or as a thickener. It is also used in eye drops for dry eyes.

Do not used in patient with allergic reaction in  Carbomer.

Carbomer may have the following side effects:

  • Blurred vision
  • Eyelid margin crusting
  • Corneal irritation
  • Increased lacrimation
  • Periorbital and conjunctival edema
  • Ocular discomfort
  • Pain
  • Pruritus

There is no data regarding interactions with Carbomer.

If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, seek medical help immediately.
