CALCIUM DOBESILATE

Calcium dobesilate is a drug that acts on the capillary blood vessel walls to modulate resistance and permeability. It decreases viscosity of the blood and restores normal blood flow.

Calcium dobesilate is used to treat peripheral circulatory disorders. It may also be given rectally for haemorrhoids.

Do not give Calcium dobesilate to the following:

  • People with hypersensitivity to calcium
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding women

Calcium dobesilate can bring about the following:

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhoea
  • Skin rash
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Vertigo

Precautions

Extra caution should be given to people with severe kidney impairment.

 

Interactions

There is no data regarding drug interactions with Calcium Dobesilate.

If you think you may have overdosed with Calcium Dobesilate, seek medical help immediately.
