ALUMINUM CHLORIDE

Aluminum chloride is a medication that is applied to the skin to protect against body odors and excessive sweating. It is an ingredient of anti-perspirant products that are available in the market. The area of application should first be cleaned and dried prior to using aluminum chloride. This medicine is for skin use only and it should not be placed near the eyes or on broken or irritated skin.

Aluminum chloride is used to help control excessive sweating.

Do not give Aluminum chloride in people with the following conditions:

  • Pregnant
  • Lactating mothers
  • Hypersensitivity

Aluminum chloride may have the following side effects:

  • Tingling
  • Mild itching
  • Irritation may occur when the medication is first applied
  • Severe dizziness
  • Trouble breathing
