When to seek emergency medical care

If you are pregnant and have any of the signs listed below, seek immediate treatment in the emergency room of the nearest hospital or medical center:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
  • Sudden dizziness
  • Confusion
  • Severe or persistent vomiting
  • High fever that is not responding to acetaminophen
  • Decreased or no movement of your baby
