Sarpogrelate hydrochlorideis a drug that belongs to the class of drugs known as anticoagulants, antiplatelets & fibrinolysis (thrombolytics). This drug inhibits platelet aggregation and vascular contraction by antagonizing 5-HT2 serotonin receptors in platelets and vascular smooth muscle. It thus prevents the formation of blood clots and improves blood flow.
Sarpogrelate hydrochloride is used to treat chronic arterial occlusion.
