OTILONIUM BROMIDE

Otilonium bromide is a drug that is known as an antimuscarinic and calcium channel blocker. It has spasmolytic activity on the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract.

This drug is used to calm uncontrollable abdominal pain, particularly in irritable bowel syndrome. Studies suggest that otilonium is effective against this disorder. Otilinium appeared to repress L-type and T-type calcium channels, which may add to its effects in the bowels. A large portion of its activities are within the gastrointestinal system.

Otilonium is used to treat gastrointestinal tract spasm.

Do not give Otilonium to people with the following conditions:
