HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 9-VALENT VACCINE

K-CAB

K-Cab is used in the following conditions:

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Tegoprazan is commonly prescribed to manage the symptoms of GERD, such as heartburn, regurgitation, and acid reflux. It works by reducing the production of stomach acid, which helps alleviate the discomfort caused by GERD.
  • Gastric Ulcers: Tegoprazan is also used for the treatment of gastric ulcers. Gastric ulcers are open sores that develop on the lining of the stomach, often due to excessive stomach acid production. Tegoprazan can help heal these ulcers by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.

This medicine may be recommended for different uses. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more information.

Do not use K-Cab in people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Severe liver impairment: Tegoprazan is metabolized by the liver, so it is contraindicated in individuals with severe liver impairment. If you have a history of severe liver disease or impairment, it is important to discuss this with your healthcare provider, as an alternative medication may be recommended
  • Children: Tegoprazan is not recommended for use in children under the age of 18. Safety and efficacy in this age group have not been established
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: The safety of Tegoprazan during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. It is important to inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, as they can provide guidance on the potential risks and benefits of using Tegoprazan in these situations.

K-Cab may have the following side effects:

  • Common side effects: These side effects may affect a small percentage of people and can include headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms are usually mild and may go away on their own as your body adjusts to the medication.
  • Allergic reactions: Although rare, some people may experience allergic reactions to Tegoprazan. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to seek immediate medical attention.
  • Bone fractures: There have been reports suggesting that long-term use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) like Tegoprazan may be associated with an increased risk of bone fractures, particularly in older adults or those who use high doses of PPIs for an extended period. It is important to discuss this potential risk with your healthcare provider, especially if you have any concerns.
  • Other side effects: Some less common side effects may include changes in blood tests (such as liver function tests), skin reactions, muscle pain or weakness, and changes in taste sensation.

Keep in mind that your physician has recommended this drug since he or she has known that the advantage to you is more noteworthy than the risk of adverse reactions. Many individuals utilizing this medicine don’t have serious side effects.

A serious allergy to this medication is uncommon. In any case, seek emergency medical help if you see any manifestations of a serious allergic response, including a rash, tingling or swelling particularly of the face or tongue or throat, dizziness or difficulty in breathing.

This is not a complete list of side effects. If you see other effects not recorded above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Precautions

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Any pre-existing conditions, such as liver or kidney problems, as well as any allergies or previous adverse reactions to medication
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, it is important to discuss the use of Tegoprazan with your healthcare provider. The safety of Tegoprazan during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established, and your healthcare provider can help weigh the potential risks and benefits for you and your baby.
  • Long-term use: Tegoprazan is typically prescribed for short-term use in the treatment of certain gastrointestinal conditions. If you are prescribed Tegoprazan for a longer duration, your healthcare provider may periodically reassess your need for continued treatment and monitor for any potential side effects or complications.
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency: Long-term use of Tegoprazan may lead to reduced levels of vitamin B12 in the body. Your healthcare provider may monitor your vitamin B12 levels and consider supplementation if necessary.

Prior to taking this medicine, tell your physician or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or if you have some other hypersensitivities. This drug may contain inert ingredients which can cause unfavorable side effects or different issues. Talk with your pharmacist for more information.

Interactions

K-Cab may interact with the following medicines:

  • Warfarin and other anticoagulants: Tegoprazan may increase the effects of these blood-thinning medications, potentially increasing the risk of bleeding. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dose of warfarin or monitor your blood clotting time more closely.
  • Clopidogrel and other antiplatelet medications: Tegoprazan may interfere with the effectiveness of these medications in preventing blood clots. Your healthcare provider may consider alternative medications or adjust your treatment plan if necessary.
  • Certain antifungal and HIV medications: Tegoprazan may interact with medications such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, and ritonavir, potentially affecting their absorption and effectiveness. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your Tegoprazan dose or recommend alternative treatment options.
  • St. John’s Wort: Taking Tegoprazan with St. John’s Wort, a herbal supplement, may decrease the effectiveness of Tegoprazan. It is important to inform your healthcare provider if you are using or planning to use St. John’s Wort.

Inform your physician about the drugs you take including over-the-counter medications, prescribed drugs, supplements and vitamins.

This is not a complete list of drug interactions. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more details.

The effects of certain medications can change if you consume different medications or herbal products simultaneously. This can build your risk for side effects or may cause your drugs not to work effectively. These interactions are conceivable, yet don’t generally happen. Your physician or pharmacist can prevent or oversee interactions by changing how you utilize your prescriptions or by close checking.

While utilizing this drug, don’t start, stop, or change the dose of other medicines you are using without your physician’s advice.

If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor right away.
