HUMAN SOMATROPIN

Human somatropin is a growth hormone that is used to treat growth failure in children and adults due to a lack of growth hormone in the body. People who need this medicine are often short in stature and may have conditions like Noonan syndrome, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome and others. It is also given to children who have short stature at birth with no growth and other conditions.

Warning

Do not give Human somatropin to patients with the following conditions:

Known hypersensitivity to somatropin orany of its excipients
Growth promotion in pediatric patients with close depiphyses
Proliferative or preproliferative diabetic retinopathy
Presence of active cancer
Acute critical illness
Prader-Willi Syndrome who are severely obese or have severe respiratory impairmen
