DIAGNOSIS
The existence of many symptoms influences the diagnosis. Tumors which may occur as a result of other diseases must be identified by your doctor. And your doctor will question you about the family history of your illness if you encounter symptoms of VRD. This helps to validate the diagnosis of the disease.
TREATMENT
Von Recklinghausen’s disease is a complicated disease. Many different organ systems in the body must be addressed during treatment. Adults must be screened against cancer caused by tumors on a regular basis.
Childhood therapy includes:
- orthopedic assessment for the treatment of scoliosis or other curable bone
- defects of attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD)
- Learning Disability Assessment
All patients should get a neurological test and an eye exam once a year.
In addition, many techniques may cure tumors, including:
- Remove malignant tumors laparoscopically
- Operation to remove neurological tumors
- radiation therapy
- chemotherapy
You’re more likely to get cancer if you have Von Recklinghausen’s disease. Tumors should be monitored by your doctor on a regular basis. They’ll be on the lookout for any changes that might suggest malignancy.
