SECONDHAND SMOKE

Secondhand smoke, otherwise called ecological tobacco smoke, includes smoke that a smoker breathes out (standard smoke) and the smoke that comes specifically from the tobacco item being used (side stream smoke).

Here are some of its symptoms:

DIAGNOSIS

Secondhand smoke can truly worsen symptoms  in individuals with hypersensitivities or asthma. Long term exposure causes heart disease and cancers.

TREATMENT

The best thing you can do to protect your family from secondhand smoke is to stop smoking.

Ensure that your home and vehicle remain smoke free. Try not to allow anybody to smoke in your home or car.

Setting this smokefree standard will:

  • Reduce the levels of secondhand smoke your family takes in
  • Help you stop smoking and stay smoke-free
  • Lower the risk of your child turning into a smoker
