USTEKINUMAB

Ustekinumab, a human monoclonal antibody that attaches to and blocks interleukins (IL)-12 and IL-23 cytokines. These interleukins (IL)-12 and IL-23 cytokines are responsible for anti-inflammatory and immune system reactions like CD4+ T-cell activation and differentiation and natural killer (NK) cell activation. The recombinant human monoclonal antibody Ustekinumab inhibits the progression of interferon-inducible protein-10 (IP-10), monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1), IL-8, and tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).
