HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 9-VALENT VACCINE

RANAE

Ranae is used in the following conditions:

  • Heartburn and acid indigestion: Ranitidine is often used to provide relief from heartburn and acid indigestion caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It helps reduce the production of stomach acid, providing relief from the discomfort caused by excess acid.
  • Peptic ulcers: Ranitidine is used to treat and prevent peptic ulcers, which are open sores that develop on the lining of the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine. By reducing stomach acid production, ranitidine helps promote healing and prevents the formation of new ulcers.
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: This is a rare condition in which the stomach produces excessive amounts of acid. Ranitidine is used to manage the symptoms associated with this condition, such as stomach pain and acid reflux.
  • Prevention of acid-related damage: Ranitidine may be prescribed to prevent acid-related damage in certain situations, such as before surgery or during critical care for patients at risk of developing stress ulcers.

It’s important to note that ranitidine should be used as directed by a healthcare professional, and the duration of treatment will vary depending on the underlying condition being treated. If you have any questions about the specific uses of ranitidine or its suitability for your situation, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider.

This medicine may be recommended for different uses. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more information.

Do not use Ranae in people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Porphyria: Ranitidine is contraindicated in individuals with a history of porphyria, a group of rare genetic disorders that affect the production of heme, an essential component of hemoglobin. The use of ranitidine in such cases can potentially trigger an acute attack of porphyria.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Ranae may have the following side effects:

  • Mild side effects include headache, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and changes in taste
  • Allergic reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to ranitidine can occur. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
  • Rare but serious side effects: Although uncommon, some individuals may experience more severe side effects, such as confusion, hallucinations, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), or signs of liver problems. If you notice any of these symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention.

This is not a complete list of side effects. If you see other effects not recorded above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Precautions

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • History of kidney or liver disease, porphyria, or any allergies
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Prior to taking this medicine, tell your physician or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or if you have some other hypersensitivities. This drug may contain inert ingredients which can cause unfavorable side effects or different issues. Talk with your pharmacist for more information.

Interactions

Ranae may interact with the following medicines:

  • Antacids: Taking antacids with ranitidine may decrease its effectiveness. If you need to take an antacid, it is generally recommended to take it at least 2 hours before or after taking ranitidine.
  • Medications that require stomach acid for absorption: Ranitidine can reduce stomach acid production, which may affect the absorption of certain medications. Examples include iron supplements, ketoconazole, atazanavir, and delavirdine. It is advisable to consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist to determine the best timing for taking these medications with ranitidine.
  • Warfarin and other blood thinners: Ranitidine may increase the effects of blood-thinning medications, such as warfarin, increasing the risk of bleeding. Regular monitoring of blood clotting parameters is usually recommended when using these medications together.
  • Diazepam: Ranitidine may increase blood levels of diazepam, a medication used for anxiety and muscle relaxation. Dose adjustments may be necessary when combining these medications.
  • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Ranitidine can help protect the stomach against damage caused by NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen. However, if you are taking high doses of NSAIDs for a prolonged period, it is important to discuss the use of ranitidine with your healthcare provider, as additional measures may be needed.

This is not a complete list of drug interactions. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more details.

The effects of certain medications can change if you consume different medications or herbal products simultaneously. This can build your risk for side effects or may cause your drugs not to work effectively. These interactions are conceivable, yet don’t generally happen. Your physician or pharmacist can prevent or oversee interactions by changing how you utilize your prescriptions or by close checking.

While utilizing this drug, don’t start, stop, or change the dose of other medicines you are using without your physician’s advice.

If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor right away.
