RACECADOTRIL

Racecadotril belongs to a class of drug called antidiarrheals which works by decreasing the intestinal secretion. This medication increases the availability of endogenous opioids (enkephalins) by inhibiting the membrane-bound enkephalinase. Racecadotril is primariy used to treat diarrhea.

Uses

This medication is indicated to treat diarrhea. Racecadotril may also be used in other conditions to be determined by your doctor.

Warnings

Stop using this drug if you experience fever with the presence of bloody or purulet stools.

Side Effects
