Interactions

Panpure may interact with the following medicines:

  • Medications that need stomach acid for absorption: S-Pantoprazole reduces stomach acid production, which may affect the absorption of certain medications such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, and iron supplements. It is recommended to take these medications at least 2 hours before or after taking S-Pantoprazole.
  • Anticoagulants (blood thinners): S-Pantoprazole may potentially interact with anticoagulant medications like warfarin, increasing the risk of bleeding. Regular monitoring of blood clotting parameters is essential if you are taking both medications.
  • Methotrexate: S-Pantoprazole can increase the levels of methotrexate in the blood, potentially leading to toxic effects. Close monitoring of methotrexate levels and possible dose adjustments may be necessary.
  • Atazanavir and Nelfinavir: S-Pantoprazole can decrease the absorption of these medications used to treat HIV. It is recommended to take atazanavir and nelfinavir at least 2 hours before or after taking S-Pantoprazole
  • Clopidogrel: While there is controversy surrounding this interaction, some studies suggest that the use of S-Pantoprazole may reduce the effectiveness of clopidogrel, a medication used to prevent blood clots. If you are taking both medications, it is important to discuss the potential risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

Inform your physician about the drugs you take including over-the-counter medications, prescribed drugs, supplements and vitamins.

This is not a complete list of drug interactions. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more details.

The effects of certain medications can change if you consume different medications or herbal products simultaneously. This can build your risk for side effects or may cause your drugs not to work effectively. These interactions are conceivable, yet don’t generally happen. Your physician or pharmacist can prevent or oversee interactions by changing how you utilize your prescriptions or by close checking.

While utilizing this drug, don’t start, stop, or change the dose of other medicines you are using without your physician’s advice.

If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor right away.
