PANACTA

Panacta is a semisynthetic broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic. This works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls.

  • Prosthetic joint infection
  • Streptococcus (group B)
  • Maternal prophylaxis for prevention of neonatal disease

Do not use Panacta in people with the following conditions:

  • Increased sensitivity to Panacta and other penicillins
  • Abnormal liver function
  • Lymphatic leukemia
  • Superinfections with mycotic or bacterial pathogens
  • Infectious mononucleosis

Panacta may have the following side effects:

  • Anaphylactic shock
  • Vaginal candidiasis
  • Erythema
  • Colitis
  • Intestinal dysbiosis
  • Joint pain
  • Eosinophilia
  • Rhinitis
  • Fever
  • Oral candidiasis
  • Angioedema
  • Nausea
  • Urticaria
  • Vomiting
  • Conjunctivitis
