MAGNESIUM ACETATE

Magnesium Acetate is a mineral supplement that provides magnesium in the blood. Magnesium is essential for the cells to function properly. People that undergone dialysis are easy to have low amounts of magnesium. Other conditions that may cause low magnesium in the blood are alcoholism, poor diet and diabetes.

Uses

This medication is indicated for IV fluid and electrolyte replacement solutions. Magnesium Acetate may also be used in other conditions to be determined by your doctor.

Warnings

This medicine is reserved for adults and children over 6 years. There is more appropriate formula for children below 6 years.

Side Effects

This drug may have unwanted effects such as:

Gastro Intestinal Upset
Watery Diarrhea
Hypermagnesaemia (loss of deep tendon reflexes and respiratory depression)
