IMEFER

Imefer is used in the following conditions:

  • Treat or prevent iron deficiency anemia
  • Beneficial for individuals with deficiencies, those following a vegetarian or vegan diet, or those experiencing increased stress levels
  • Supports immune function, collagen synthesis, and the absorption of iron
  • Meet daily requirements, especially for individuals who have limited dietary intake or have specific needs, such as during periods of illness or recovery

Do not use Imefer in people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Iron overload disorders, such as hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis, should avoid iron supplements unless specifically prescribed by a healthcare provider
  • Those with certain medical conditions, such as chronic liver disease or kidney disease, should use iron supplements with caution and under medical supervision.
  • History of kidney stones or kidney disease should use vitamin C supplements with caution, as excessive intake can increase the risk of kidney stone formation

  • Medications for epilepsy: Some anti-seizure medications, such as phenytoin and phenobarbital, can reduce the levels of certain B vitamins in the body. Your healthcare provider may recommend monitoring your B vitamin levels or adjusting the dosage of your medications accordingly.
  • Metformin: Long-term use of metformin, a medication for diabetes, may lead to reduced vitamin B12 levels. Your healthcare provider may recommend monitoring your B12 levels or considering B12 supplementation.
  • Aspirin and blood thinners: High-dose vitamin C may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with aspirin or blood-thinning medications, such as warfarin. Close monitoring by a healthcare provider is advised.
  • Chemotherapy drugs: Vitamin C supplements may interfere with the effectiveness of certain chemotherapy drugs. It is essential to inform your healthcare provider about all supplements you are taking before undergoing chemotherapy treatment
