HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 9-VALENT VACCINE

IMBRUVICA

Imbruvica is used in the following conditions:

  • Certain types of leukemia (chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma, and mantle cell lymphoma) as well as Waldenstrm’s macroglobulinemia, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Chronic graft-versus-host disease

Do not use Imbruvica in people with the following conditions:

  • Known hypersensitivity to ibrutinib or any components of the formulation
  • Pregnant women

Imbruvica may have the following side effects:

  • Fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, musculoskeletal pain, bruising, rash, anemia, and decreased appetite
  • Other less common side effects may include: heartburn, difficulty sleeping, constipation, vomiting, muscle spasms, headache, dizziness, hair loss, and fever
  • In rare cases, ibrutinib can cause severe and life-threatening side effects, such as bleeding, infection, heart problems, and liver problems

Keep in mind that your physician has recommended this drug since he or she has known that the advantage to you is more noteworthy than the risk of adverse reactions. Many individuals utilizing this medicine don’t have serious side effects.

A serious allergy to this medication is uncommon. In any case, seek emergency medical help if you see any manifestations of a serious allergic response, including a rash, tingling or swelling particularly of the face or tongue or throat, dizziness or difficulty in breathing.

Precautions

Interactions

Imbruvica may interact with the following medicines:

  • Warfarin, antacids, and certain antibiotics. Warfarin is a blood thinner, and taking it with ibrutinib can increase the risk of bleeding
  • Antacids can also affect the way ibrutinib is absorbed in the body, and certain antibiotics can interact with ibrutinib and cause a decrease in its effectiveness

Inform your physician about the drugs you take including over-the-counter medications, prescribed drugs, supplements and vitamins.
