HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 9-VALENT VACCINE

FELOACT 30

Feloact 30 is used in the following conditions:

  • Acute Diarrhea: Racecadotril is commonly prescribed to reduce the duration and severity of acute diarrhea. It works by inhibiting the enzyme that breaks down certain substances in the intestine, leading to reduced fluid and electrolyte loss and promoting faster recovery.
  • Symptomatic Relief: Racecadotril helps alleviate the symptoms associated with acute diarrhea, such as frequent bowel movements, loose stools, abdominal pain, and discomfort. By reducing fluid loss, it can help restore the normal functioning of the digestive system.
  • Dehydration Prevention: By reducing the duration and intensity of diarrhea, racecadotril can help prevent dehydration, which is a common concern during episodes of acute diarrhea. It is important to ensure adequate fluid intake while taking this medication to maintain hydration.
  • Pediatric Use: Racecadotril is approved for use in both adults and children. It is often prescribed to children who are at least three months old and experiencing acute diarrhea. However, the dosage and duration of treatment may vary based on the age and weight of the child, so it is essential to follow the specific instructions provided by a healthcare professional.

This medicine may be recommended for different uses. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more information.

Do not use Feloact 30 in people with the following conditions:

  • Known Hypersensitivity: Racecadotril should not be used in individuals who have a known hypersensitivity or allergy to racecadotril or any of its components. If you have experienced an allergic reaction to racecadotril or any other medication in the past, it is important to inform your healthcare provider before starting treatment.
  • Chronic Diarrhea: Racecadotril is specifically indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhea. It should not be used in individuals with chronic diarrhea, which is defined as diarrhea lasting for more than 14 days. Chronic diarrhea may require a different approach and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
  • Severe Diarrhea with Fever and/or Blood in Stools: Racecadotril is not recommended for use in individuals with severe diarrhea accompanied by fever and/or blood in the stools. These symptoms may be indicative of a more serious underlying condition that requires medical evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Intestinal Obstruction: Racecadotril is contraindicated in individuals with a known or suspected intestinal obstruction. If you have a history of intestinal obstruction or are experiencing symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, distension, or inability to pass stool or gas, racecadotril should not be used.

Feloact 30 may have the following side effects:

  • Gastrointestinal Upset: The most commonly reported side effects of racecadotril include mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, and flatulence. These side effects are generally mild and transient.
  • Allergic Reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to racecadotril can occur. Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or dizziness. If you experience any of these symptoms, it is important to seek immediate medical attention.
  • Headache: Headaches have been reported as a side effect of racecadotril. If you experience a persistent or severe headache while taking racecadotril, it is advisable to consult your healthcare provider.
  • Other Side Effects: Less commonly, racecadotril may cause dizziness, fatigue, or changes in taste perception. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, it is recommended to discuss them with your healthcare provider.

Keep in mind that your physician has recommended this drug since he or she has known that the advantage to you is more noteworthy than the risk of adverse reactions. Many individuals utilizing this medicine don’t have serious side effects.

A serious allergy to this medication is uncommon. In any case, seek emergency medical help if you see any manifestations of a serious allergic response, including a rash, tingling or swelling particularly of the face or tongue or throat, dizziness or difficulty in breathing.

This is not a complete list of side effects. If you see other effects not recorded above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Precautions

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider before taking racecadotril. The safety of racecadotril during pregnancy and lactation has not been fully established, and your healthcare provider will weigh the potential benefits against any possible risks.
  • Pediatric Use: Racecadotril is generally considered safe and effective in children, but the dosage may differ based on age and weight. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider when giving racecadotril to children.
  • Renal or Hepatic Impairment: If you have impaired kidney or liver function, it is important to inform your healthcare provider. Dose adjustments may be necessary in these cases, as racecadotril is primarily eliminated from the body through the kidneys.
  • Other Medications: It is important to inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements. Racecadotril may interact with certain medications, such as opioids, and your healthcare provider can help determine if any adjustments are needed.

Dehydration: Racecadotril is typically used to treat acute diarrhea, which can lead to dehydration. It is important to stay hydrated by drinking fluids while taking racecadotril. If your symptoms worsen or if you experience signs of severe dehydration, such as excessive thirst, dark urine, or dizziness, seek medical attention.

Prior to taking this medicine, tell your physician or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or if you have some other hypersensitivities.

This drug may contain inert ingredients which can cause unfavorable side effects or different issues. Talk with your pharmacist for more information.

Interactions

Feloact 30 may interact with the following medicines:

  • Opioid Analgesics: Racecadotril may interact with opioid pain medications, such as codeine or morphine. It can potentially increase the risk of opioid-related side effects, such as respiratory depression. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose of either medication or monitor you closely if you are taking racecadotril with opioids.
  • Antidiarrheal Medications: Combining racecadotril with other antidiarrheal medications, such as loperamide, may increase the risk of constipation. Your healthcare provider may advise against using these medications together or adjust the dosages accordingly.
  • ACE Inhibitors: Racecadotril may interact with ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitors, which are commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. This combination may lead to an increased risk of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat). It is important to inform your healthcare provider if you are taking ACE inhibitors.
  • Other Interactions: While there are no significant known interactions with other medications, it is always important to disclose all medications and supplements to your healthcare provider to ensure safety and avoid any potential interactions.

Inform your physician about the drugs you take including over-the-counter medications, prescribed drugs, supplements and vitamins.

This is not a complete list of drug interactions. Approach your physician or pharmacist for more details.

The effects of certain medications can change if you consume different medications or herbal products simultaneously. This can build your risk for side effects or may cause your drugs not to work effectively. These interactions are conceivable, yet don’t generally happen. Your physician or pharmacist can prevent or oversee interactions by changing how you utilize your prescriptions or by close checking.

While utilizing this drug, don’t start, stop, or change the dose of other medicines you are using without your physician’s advice.

If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor right away.
