USES

  • Used as a mucolytic

 

DOSAGE

  • Adult : PO 300 mg twice daily. Max duration: 10 days.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Active peptic ulcer.

 

PRECAUTIONS

  • If you are planning to be pregnant or think you may be pregnant, discuss the risks and benefits of use with your doctor.
  • Before breast-feeding, consult your physician.

 

SIDE EFFECTS

  • Epigastralgia, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, spasmodic colitis, headache.
