CHILDREN’S HEALTHY EATING

One of the most challenging roles as a parent is that you need to guide your children in learning healthy eating habits day by day. Your children need a balanced diet with food coming from the pyramid of three food groups like vegetables and fruit, whole grain products, and protein foods.

Children need to have three meals a day and one to three snacks during morning, afternoon and upon going to bed. Those healthy snacks are likewise important as the food you serve during meals.

The best foods consist of whole, fresh and unprocessed fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy products, lean meats, and especially those home-cooked meals.

TYPES

Healthy eating means that your children must eat a variety of foods where they can get nutrients like protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, and minerals that he or she needs for normal growth. If your children learn how to follow a healthy balanced diet, for sure they will grow up well-nourished.

SYMPTOMS

For as long as you make only healthy foods present on the table, you can rest assured that your children are eating the right amount of food every meal.

DIAGNOSIS

Most parents out there are worried about their children whether they are eating too much or too little. There is a strategy on how to help your children eat well and help you worry less.

First, you need to know what your job is and what your children’s job is too when it comes to eating. It is your job as a parent to decide what foods are needed.

  • Your job is to select and cooknutritious food at every meal and snack times. You are the one who will decide what, where, and when are they going to eat
  • A child’s job is to choosethe amount he or she will eat of the foods you serve. He or she will decide how much or even whether to eat or not.

This idea will encourage your children to continue eating healthy, nutritious and balanced food that you serve each meal.
