CALCIDIN

Calcidin contains Calcium Carbonate (Ca) and Vitamin D3. Calcium carbonate is a calcium supplement used in deficiency states and as an adjunct in preventing and treating osteoporosis. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble sterol. It aids in the regulation of calcium and phosphate homeostasis and bone mineralization.

Use this medication precisely as recommended by your physician. Follow the prescription of your doctor carefully. 

The medication dose your physician has given is based on your condition, other medications or food supplements you may take, and your reaction to treatment. To diminish your risks for adverse effects, don’t increase your dosage, take it regularly, or take it as instructed by your physician.   • Bone pain
  • Allergic reactions
  • Rash
  • Milk-alkali syndrome
  • Abdominal pain
  • Hypercalciuria
  • Pruritus
  • Diarrhea
  • Nephrolithiasis
  • Urticaria
  • Flatulence
  • Bloating

Interactions

Calcidin may interact with the following medicines:

  • Thiazide diuretics
  • Orlistat
  • Rifampicin, phenytoin, or barbiturates
  • Calcium salts
  • Tetracycline antibiotics

  • Renal calculi
  • Polydipsia
  • Hypophosphatemia
