BROW LIFT COSMETIC SURGERY

BROW LIFT COSMETIC SURGERY

A brow lift cosmetic surgery, also called forehead lift, is used to elevate the brows. It enhances the looks of the brow,  forehead, and the area around the eyes by lifting the skin and the soft tissue.

You might want a brow lift surgery if you have brow asymmetry or drooping brows. This procedure may increase the self-confidence of someone who doesn’t have good brows. A brow lift can be conducted with other facial techniques, including a facelift.

SYMPTOMS

Aging is one of the causes of brows to go down. As skin and tissues around our brows lose flexibility, the space within the brows and lashes will also reduce.

The lower posture of the brows can make your face look angry and tired. Brow lift surgery can lift and bring back a fresh and pleasant appearance.

Risks

A brow lift can have a variety of risks, involving:

  • Scars – can be seen after surgery.
  • Asymmetry of brows position – it can have an outcome in which one or both of your eyebrows will look high.
  • Sensibility in the skin – it can cause a short-term numbness on your forehead.

Just like any usual surgery, a brow lift has the risk of bleeding or infection. These risks can be controlled and treated by your doctor through medications.

TREATMENT

How do you prepare for brow lift cosmetic surgery?

At first, you can talk to your facial surgeon about the process of surgery. During the examination, your surgeon may do the following:

  • Examine you physically – Your doctor will look and identify what the best treatment for your brows is.
  • Check your medical history – Make sure to tell your doctor about your present and past conditions or medications.
  • Talk about your expectations – Before the procedure, you must explain to your doctor why you want a brow enhancement and your expectations about the result. Ensure that you understand the risk and advantages of these methods.

Before the surgery, you might need to follow these:

  • Avoid particular medications – You are required to stop taking anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin that causes constant bleeding.
  • Smoking – You need to stop smoking before the surgery to avoid any problems in your healing recovery.

During the brow lift procedure

The brow lift process depends on your preferred outcome. The particular procedure your doctor will select is to determine the position of slit and scars.

Your surgeon may use one of the following methods:

  • Endoscopic brow lift
  • Coronal brow lift
  • Hairline brow lift

This procedure may last about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your brow lift surgery process.
