BAMIFYLLINE

Bamifylline is a bronchodilator that works by widening the air passage (bronchi) in the lungs during asthma or any reversible airways obstruction.

This medication is used to treat symptoms of Asthma or other Pulmonary affections.

Usage of this drug to patients with severe heart failure, serious hypertension, hepatic and renal insufficiency, gastric ulcer and hyperthyroidism should be administered and monitored.

Common side effects with this drug includes:

  • Vomiting
  • Cardiac Arrhythmias
  • Dehydration
  • Diuresis
  • Agitation

Notify your doctor promptly if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.

Precautions

Before taking this drug, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

  • If you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking herbal, prescription and non-prescription drugs.
  • If you have certain medical conditions such as:
    • Severe Heart Failure
    • Serious Hypertension
    • Hepatic and Renal Insufficiency
    • Gastric Ulcer
    • Hyperthyroidism

Drug interactions may either lessen the effectiveness of this drug or heighten the risk for severe side effects. It’s important to inform your doctor all the medication including prescription and non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking or going to take.

Call emergency hotline if someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing.
