AMBROXOL

Treatment of tracheobronchitis, emphysema with bronchitis pneumoconiosis, chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions, bronchiectasis, bronchitis with bronchospasm asthma

Occasional gastrointestinal side effects

Should only be used when there is a clear need during pregnancy as it may harm an unborn baby. If you are planning to be pregnant or think you may be pregnant, discuss the risks and benefits of use with your doctor.

  • Adults
    • 30 mg (one Ambroxol tablet ) to 120 mg (4 Ambroxol tablets) taken in 2 to 3 divided doses per day
  • Children up to 2 years
    • Half a teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup twice a day
  • Children 2 – 5 years
    • half a teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup 3 times a day
  • Children over 5 years
    • One teaspoonful Ambroxol syrup 2-3 times a day
