HEXAMIDINE

Hexamidine is a drug that is also known as an antibiotic and an antifungal. It is being used to treat minor infections.

Hexamidine is used in the treatment of conjunctival infection of the eyes.

Do not give to people who have known hypersensitivity to Hexamidine.

Hexamidine may have these side effects:

  • Transient ocular irritation
  • Allergic reactions

Precautions

Do not wear contact lenses while using Hexamidine. When concomitantly used with other eye drops, administer only in the eyes after 15 minutes.

 

Interactions

There are no known interactions with Hexamidine.

If you think you have used Hexamidine more than the usual recommended doses, seek medical help immediately.
