HACHIMYCIN

Hachimycin is a polyene macrolide antibiotic which used as a fungicidal antifungal agent  against candidiadis, protozoal infection trichomonias and some fungal skin infections.

This medication is used to treat candidiadis, protozoal infection trichomonias and some fungal skin infections.

People with hypersensitivity must not use this drug.

Aside from the benefits, this drug may bring some unwanted effects. It is important to tell your doctor all the symptoms that you experience while using this drug. A severe allergic reaction, although less common, may cause symptoms such as itchiness, redness or swelling.

Precautions

Before taking this drug, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

  • If you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are to undergo any surgical procedure.
  • If you are taking herbal, prescription and non-prescription drugs.
  • If you have certain medical conditions especially in the skin.

 

Interactions

Drug interactions may either lessen the effectiveness of this drug or heighten the risk for severe side effects. It’s important to inform your doctor all the medication including prescription and non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking or going to take.

Call emergency hotline if someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing.
