LACIDIPINE

Lacidipine belongs to a class of drug called calcium channel blocker that works by slowing the movement of calcium through the muscle cells that are found in the walls of blood vessels. This medication generally acts on the heart and blood vessels.Calcium helps the muscle contract so by blocking Calcium, it relaxes the muscle cells in the walls of arteries causing it to widen.

Uses

This medication is indicated to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This medication may also be used in other conditions to be determined by your doctor.

Warnings

People should avoid intake of grape juice while using this drug. Lacipidine may cause dizziness, drowsiness or blurred vision. Avoid activities requiring alertness or clear vision such as driving until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. Limit the use of alcohol and certain other medications that cause drowsiness.
