DASABUVIR

Dasabuvir is an antiviral drug, oftenly combined with  Mbitasvir, Paritaprevir and Ritonavir for the treatment of hepatitis C. It works by stopping hepatitis C virus from spreading inside the body.

This medication is primarily used to treat Hepatitis C. Dasabuvir may also be used in other conditions to be determined by your doctor.

Overdosage may cause resistant to one or more drug. When the virus becomes resistant to the drug, the drug no longer works.

  • Itching
  • Nausea
  • Tiredness
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Weakness

Notify your doctor promptly if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.

Precautions

Before taking this drug, tell your doctor or pharmacist:

  • If you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are to undergo surgical procedure.
  • If you are taking herbal, prescription and non-prescription drugs.
  • If you have certain medical conditions such as:
    • HIV
    • Other Liver Problems
    • Liver Transplant

 

Interactions

Drug interactions may either lessen the effectiveness of this drug or heighten the risk for severe side effects. It’s important to inform your doctor all the medication including prescription and non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking or going to take.

Call emergency hotline if someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing.
