Precautions
Before using this combination medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances. Especially to the contents of this drug.
- Your medical condition or medical history, especially of:
- Adrenal Gland Problems (eg, Tumor)
- Heart Problems
- High Blood Pressure
- Diabetes
- Heart Blood Vessel Problems
- Stroke
- Glaucoma
- An Enlarged Prostate or other Prostate Problems
- Seizures
- Overactive Thyroid
- Fast, Slow, or Irregular Heartbeat
- Chronic Cough
- If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- If you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
Interactions
Drug interactions may either lessen the effectiveness of this drug or heighten the risk for severe side effects. It’s important to inform your doctor all the medication including prescription and non-prescription and herbal medicines you are taking or going to take.
Possible interactions with this drug are:
- Beta-Blockers (eg, Propranolol)
- Catechol-O-Methyltransferase (COMT) Inhibitors (eg, Tolcapone)
- Furazolidone
- Indomethacin
- MAO Inhibitors (eg, Phenelzine)
- Tricyclic Antidepressants (eg, Amitriptyline)
- Digoxin or Droxidopa
- Bromocriptine
- Guanethidine
- Guanadrel
- Mecamylamine
- Methyldopa
