Should not be used in patients with the following conditions:

• Ileus, intestinal obstruction, acute surgical abdominal conditions; severe dehydration. Appendicitis & acute inflammatory bowel diseases
• If you are planning to be pregnant or think you may be pregnant, discuss the risks and benefits of use with your doctor.
• Before breast-feeding, consult your physician

Rarely, abdominal discomfort & diarrhea.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Taking multiple drugs may affect how medications work and/or cause unwanted side effects. List down all the medications you are taking and inform your physician and pharmacist. Do not take, discontinue, or alter any dose of medications without prior approval of your physician.

Products that may interact with this medication include:

• Diuretic & adrenocorticosteroids.

• Constipation
  • Adult 1-2 tab (5-10 mg) daily, relief in 6-12 hr.
  • Adult/Ped suppository 1 suppository (10 mg) daily, relief in 15-30 min.
• Children <10 yr 1 tab (5 mg) or 1 suppository (5 mg) daily.

• For complete bowel clearance
  • Adult & children >10 yr 2-4 tab the night before & 1 adult supp on the day of the procedure; <10 yr 1 tab the night before & 1 pediatric suppository on the day of the procedure. The max daily dose should not be exceeded.

ADMINISTRATION

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Should not be taken within 1 hr. of antacids, milk or other dairy products.
