Salicyclic acid is used to treat common foot warts, remove corns and calluses. Do not use on the face or on moles, birthmarks, warts with hair growing from them, or genital/anal warts.
Apply this treatment as prescribed by your physician.
Expected side effects are as follows:
Seek medical help if the following symptoms occur: spreading skin redness around the treated area, signs of infection (e.g., pus, milky/bloody discharge), formation of a deep sore (ulcer) at the treatment site.
Precautions
Inform your doctor of your medical history, especially if you have: diabetes, poor blood circulation (e.g., peripheral vascular disease), skin infection/irritation.
