CALTA

Calta is used in the following conditions:

  • Primarily used to treat or prevent certain medical conditions related to kidney stones and low potassium levels in the blood. It is commonly prescribed to individuals with renal tubular acidosis, a kidney stone condition
  • Additionally, it is used to prevent kidney stones that may occur due to factors such as diarrhea, vomiting, hormone problems, or diuretic treatment

Do not use Calta in people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels), severe kidney disease, or Addison’s disease
  • Individuals with a history of gastric ulcer or intestinal obstruction
  • Additionally, individuals with difficulty swallowing or a history of gastrointestinal disorders should use potassium citrate with caution

Calta may have the following side effects:

  • Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, gas, or diarrhea
