HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 9-VALENT VACCINE

CABOZANTINIB

Cabozantinib is an antineoplastic drug, specifically a receptor tyrokinases (RTKs) inhibitor. It promotes the death of cancer cells, inhibiting the growth of tumours, preventing the spread of cancer cells, and angiogenesis.

Use this medication precisely as recommended by your physician. Follow the prescription of your doctor carefully. 

The medication dose your physician has given is based on your condition, other medications or food supplements you may take, and your reaction to treatment. To diminish your risks for adverse effects, don’t increase your dosage, take it regularly, or take it as instructed by your physician. Cabozantinib is used in the following conditions:

  • Unresectable locally advanced or metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma
  • Advanced renal cell carcinoma; Hepatocellular carcinoma
  • Metastatic medullary thyroid carcinoma, Unresectable locally advanced medullary thyroid carcinoma
  • Advanced renal cell carcinoma, Hepatocellular carcinoma

Do not use  Cabozantinib in people with the following conditions:

  •  History of haemorrhage or haemoptysis
  • Lactation

  • Hypertension
  • Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS)
  • Palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia syndrome
  • Diarrhoea
  • Proteinuria
  • Osteonecrosis of the jaw
  • Nephrotic syndrome
  • Wound healing impairment
  • Anaemia
  • Thrombocytopenia
  • Neutropenia
  • Tinnitus
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Stomatitis
  • Constipation
  • Abdominal pain
  • Dyspepsia
  • GERD
  • Haemorrhoids
  • Oral pain
  • Dry mouth
  • Fatigue
  • Asthenia
  • Peripheral oedema.
  • Hepatic encephalopathy
  • Absces
  • Decreased WBC count
  • Decreased appetite
  • Hypomagnesaemia

Potentially Fatal: 

  • Serious haemorrhage (e.g. haemoptysis, gastrointestinal bleeding), gastrointestinal perforations, and fistula, thromboembolic events (e.g. pulmonary embolism, arterial thromboembolism).

Keep in mind that your physician has recommended this drug since he or she has known that the advantage to you is more noteworthy than the risk of adverse reactions. Many individuals utilizing this medicine don’t have serious side effects.

A serious allergy to this medication is uncommon. In any case, seek emergency medical help if you see any manifestations of a serious allergic response, including a rash, tingling or swelling particularly of the face or tongue or throat, dizziness or difficulty in breathing.

Interactions

 Cabozantinib may interact with the following medicines:

  • Ketoconazole
  • itraconazole
  • Rifampin
  •  Rifabutin
  • Rifapentine
  • Phenobarbital
  • Phenytoin
  • carbamazepine
