Factitious Disorder is a condition wherein a person may think or act like they have a physical and mental illness in which they exaggerate and sometimes give a false impression on a condition. Its possible cause is trauma, or it may be depression, but the potential causes for this disorder hasn’t been defined yet. This person might have unresolved problems or issues or is trying to reenact or to cope up with trauma. Also, this condition can be influenced by issues with friends and family who may have the same habitual behaviour or chronic condition.
This condition is considered similar to mental illness because these people generally have severe emotional difficulties and other stressful situations. This individual may also feel like they are desperate for attention.
