TENELIGLIPTIN HYDROBROMIDE HYDRATE

Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate is a medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It belongs to a group of diabetic medications known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors or “gliptins”.

Teneligliptin is given as a tablet for oral use, containing 20 mg and the suggested dose is 20 mg or 40 mg once a day for adults, depending on the severity of the individual’s medical condition.

Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate is used in the following:

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Do not use Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate in patients with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Severe ketosis
  • Diabetic coma
  • History of diabetic coma
  • Type 1 diabetes
  • Severe infection or trauma
  • Surgery

Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate may have the following side effects:

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Heart failure
  • Pituitary or adrenal insufficiency
  • Poor nutritional state
  • Intensive exercise or excessive alcohol intake
  • History of bowel obstruction or abdominal surgery
  • Concomitant use with sulfonylureas or insulin
  • Pregnancy
  • Heart disease
  • Lactation

Interactions

Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate may interact with the following medicines:

  • Ketoconazole
  • Insulin andinsulin secretagogues such as sulfonylureas and glinides
