Estradiol + Norethisterone is an sex hormone that is synthetically prepared and is like endogenous estrogen. In menopause, estradiol substitutes for estrogen production and decreases its side effects. Estradiol likewise avoids bone loss following menopause or ovariectomy. Norethisterone lessens the estradiol-instigated risk of endometrial hyperplasia in women who have not undergone hysterectomy.

Estradiol + Norethisterone is used to decrease the risk of endometrial hyperplasia in women.

Do not use in people with suspected history of breast cancer or in those with allergic reactions to this drug.

  • Dysmenorrhoea
  • Libido disorder
  • Acne

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Endometrial cancer
  • Thrombophilic disorders
  • Porphyria
  • Hepatic impairment
  • Pregnancy
  • Lactation
