BERAPROST

Beraprost is a medicine that is known as an artificial analog of epoprostenol (a prostaglandin). It causes vasodilatation and stops platelet aggregation.

Peripheral vascular disease
Primary pulmonary hypertension

Beraprost should not be used in patients with the following conditions:

Hemorrhage or bleeding problems
Pregnancy

Headache
Hot flushes
Gastrointestinal upset
Bleeding tendency
Dizziness
Increased liver enzymes, triglycerides and bilirubin

Special precautions should be observed in people with the following conditions:

Patients on anticoagulants, antiplatelet or fibrinolytic agents
Menstruating women
Patients with bleeding tendency or diathesis
