Wisdom tooth problems start when your gums break apart and cause a flap in gum tissue to grow over them. As a result, the food becomes trapped and infection of the gum may occur.
Wisdom tooth problems can be painful, can affect other teeth and can result to other dental issues like infections (pericoronitis). When wisdom teeth cannot grow normally and become crowded, it will be hard to clean them and this results to an impacted wisdom tooth.
Each individual have four wisdom teeth and these are the last teeth to come. If a wisdom tooth makes you feel uncomfortable because of the pain, it is recommended that this tooth be extracted immediately by a dentist.
