Westfimox is a member of the Penicillin-class Antibacterial drug family. A class of antibiotics known as penicillin is used to treat and prevent certain bacterial infections. It remains stable within the gastric acid. Even in the presence of food, it is digested by the gastrointestinal system. Peak levels in the blood are two or three times greater than those obtained with equivalent doses of ampicillin.
