UNCIRCUMCISED PENIS, CARE AND CLEANING

In the initial childhood years, your boy’s foreskin may separate from the penis tip. Some foreskins detach not long after birth or even before birth, however this is uncommon. It may take weeks, months, or years for this to occur. When this occurs, the foreskin can be moved in the opposite direction from the tip of the penis. This is known as foreskin retraction.

Many boys are able to retract the foreskin when they are five years of age, yet others won’t be able to do until teens. Foreskin retraction ought to never be constrained. Do not detach it until it completely separates. Doing so in a forceful manner can cause pain, bleeding, and skin injuries.

SYMPTOMS

Tell your physician if your infant appears to have distress while urinating, particularly if the foreskin has urine or inflates out during urination, or if there is redness, irritation or swelling of the foreskin.

As the boy grows older, the uncircumcised penis’ foreskin will start to detach from the tip of the penis. This permits the foreskin to be withdrawn. When the foreskin can be withdrawn, it’s essential to clean underneath it regularly.

TREATMENT

If the foreskin detaches itself before puberty, a periodic retraction while cleansing below may be done. When your child begins adolescence, he should clean underneath his foreskin as a part of his daily activities, such as bathing.

Show your child how to clean his foreskin by:

  • Gently pulling the foreskin in an opposite direction from the baseof the penis.
  • Washthe area under the foreskin with soap and water.
  • Pull the foreskin over the penis.
