Siltuximab is a chimeric murine/human monoclonal antibody that explicitly binds cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) and blocks its interaction with soluble and membrane-bound receptors. This reduces IL-6 and C-reactive protein levels by inhibiting hepatic acute-phase protein production and immunoglobulin secretion.

Use this medication precisely as recommended by your physician. Follow the prescription of your doctor carefully.

The medication dose your physician has given is based on your condition, other medications or food supplements you may take, and your reaction to treatment.   • Distention/ abdominal pain
  • Thrombocytopenia
  • Neutropenia
  • Increased HB level
  • Gastrointestinal perforation
  • Increased level of cholesterol and lipid
  • Sepsis
  • Pneumonia
  • Cytokine release syndrome
  • Anaphylaxis
