SATRANIDAZOLE

Satranidazole is a drug that is used to treat parasitic infections such as trichomoniasis, giardiasis and amebic liver abscess. It is a new nitroimidazole having a C-N linkage at C2 of the imidazole ring. It leads to DNA damage in parasites by reducing its nitro groups.
