SALICYLIC ACID SULFUR SOAP

Salicylic Acid Sulfur Soap is used to deal with skin conditions such as pimples, fungal infections, seborrheic dermatitis and even dandruff.

  • It is used to deal with dandruff
  • It is used to deal with zits (pimples)
  • It is used to control seborrheic dermatitis
  • If you have a hypersensitivity reaction to sulfur, salicylic acid, or some other a part of salicylic acid/sulfur soap, do not use this product
  • This medicinal drug can also interact with other medicines and may affect other medical conditions
  • Salicylic acid-sulfur topical has not been officially assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. Animal studies on salicylic acid-sulfur topical or sulfur topical have not been carried out. Animal studies have suggested that salicylic acid administered orally can bring about delivery defects.

Tell your doctor right away when you have any of the following signs and symptoms that can be associated with complications such as:

  • Allergy symptoms like rash, hives, itching, swelling, blistered or peeling skin with or without fever, wheezing, tightness within the chest or throat, difficulty in breathing or speaking, hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • Skin irritation
  • Dry skin
  • Tell all of your health carers that you are using salicylic acid/sulfur soap. This includes doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and dentists.
  • Use of different skin products while using this treatment can bring about inflammation.
  • Do not use on irritated skin
  • Do not give to children and young adults are suffering flu signs, chickenpox, or other viral infections because of the threat of Reye’s syndrome. Reye’s syndrome can cause serious issues to the brain and liver.
  • Use with care in children. Talk with your physician.
  • Tell your medical doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the advantages and dangers of using this medication while you’re pregnant.
  • Tell your doctor in case you are breast-feeding. You will want to talk about any risks on your child.

If you think there was an overdose, call your poison control center or get hospital treatment right away.
