S-AMLODIPINE

Bivalirudin

S-Amlodipine is a drug that is  known as the active enantiomer of amlodipine. It prevents the passage of calcium into the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels and in the heart cells during depolarisation. This further results to relaxation of the heart and blood vessels’ smooth muscle and further leads to vasodilatation. It also increases oxygenation to the heart muscles in patients with chest pain.

S-Amlodipine is used in the  treatment of high blood pressure and chest pain  or angina.

Signs of overdose include hypotension and tachycardia. Seek medical help immediately.
