RETINOL PALMITATE

Retinol Palmitate is utilized to treat or prevent low levels of vitamin A in individuals who don’t get enough of it from their food. Many people who eat an ordinary diet don’t need vitamin A supplementation. A few conditions, such as protein insufficiency, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, liver or pancreas diseases can cause low levels of vitamin A.

Vitamin A assumes a critical role in the body. It is required for development and bone growth and to keep up the health of the skin and eyes. Low levels of vitamin A may cause vision problems or night blindness and eye harm.

Retinol palmitate is used in the following:

  • Treatment of vitamin A deficiency

Do not give Retinol palmitate to people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity

Retinol palmitate may bring about the following side effects:

  • Liver problems
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Sleepiness
  • Confusion, quick-temperedness, and altered mental state
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Visual changes

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

Interactions

Retinol palmitate may interact with the following medicines:

  • Acitretin
  • Isotretinoin
  • Mineral oil
  • Topical tretinoin
  • Bexarotene
  • Cholestyramine
  • Colesevelam
  • Colestipol
  • Orlistat
